Vaya customers will enjoy new plans when they renew their service this month, with the majority of existing plans receiving a minor face-lift.
Unlimited Plans are uniformly cheaper from now. The Unlimited 44 Plan will change to the Unlimited 34 Plan, signifying a $10 decrease in price. Included data will also drop from 6GB to 4GB. The Unlimited 33 Plan morphs into the Unlimited 28 Plan, while the Unlimited 25 is $1 cheaper — now the Unlimited 24 Plan. Both of these plans retain the included value found in the previous iterations.
The Power Plan range sees similar changes. All still include $650 worth of calls and unlimited SMS, but with other minor adjustments. The Power Plan 27 will cost a dollar extra, but comes with 500MB more data each month. Power Plan 24 becomes Plan Plan 22 and comes with 2GB data, while the ever popular Power Plan 18 remains exactly the same.
These new plans represent the first major change to Vaya since the company was acquired by Amaysim at the beginning of the year. It is interesting to note how these new plans stack up against the existing Amaysim plan range.
As you can see above, all Vaya plans now sit between $18 and $33 per month. It now one of only a couple of Aussie MVNOs not to offer high-value plans costing $40 or more.
Conversely, Amaysim plays best from $40 and over. It’s Unlimited 5GB and Unlimited 8GB plans are some of the best in the industry for customers who plan to use their phones a lot. With the Amaysim team behind both suites of plans, it is easy to see how these brands will be differentiated going forward, and to the types of customers each will be most attractive to.
