What are the different types of Dodo NBN plans and what speeds do you get?
Most popular Dodo NBN plans
Dodo focuses on simplicity, so while the company has a range of services across telco and energy, it keeps its plans simple.
- NBN and NBN fixed wireless plans are available. Choose between 101GB for $60 a month, or Unlimited Data for $70 a month (as of July 2019, usually $75 month)
- The $60 101GB NBN plan is configured on the NBN 25 speed tier and Dodo claims 20.4Mbps typical evening speed. Read more about NBN evening speeds here.
- The $70 Unlimited data NBN plan is configured on the NBN 50 speed tier and Dodo claims 40.9Mbps typical evening speed.
- Dodo doesn’t sell any NBN 100 plans, but you can find the fastest NBN plans here.
- Select no-contract, 12-month contract or 24-month contract plans. The 12-month contracts are good value - you get $0 set-up and modem fees (before 30/09/19) - which is a saving of $109
- Dodo also offers mobile broadband: 25GB for $20 a month or 50GB for $40 a month
- Not NBN ready? ADSL2+ is still available from Dodo with two plan options: $20/mth for 101GB or $30/mth for unlimited data.
Dodo NBN Speeds
The NBN has four different speed tiers, but Dodo only sells plans on the middle two: NBN 25 (aka Standard) and NBN 50 (aka Standard Plus). All NBN providers have to advertise the average or typical speeds users can expect on their plans.

Dodo Bundles
If you like the idea of bundling multiple services and saving money, then Dodo has some options for you.

How does Dodo’s bundling work? Sign up to Dodo NBN, add Dodo Energy and save off your monthly bill. Location does matter, however, so you’ll need to check with Dodo first. Since this is the case, you can only bundle your products over the phone; you have to call to get connected.

Dodo NBN & Fetch TV
Fetch TV is available to Dodo NBN and ADSL2+ customers on unlimited data plans. It costs an additional $15 per month. Fetch allows you to pause, rewind and catch up on TV. And you can access your shows when it suits you.
In addition, you’ll get one free channel pack when you sign up that gives you access to premium shows. You can add further channel packs for $6 per month, or you can get them all for $20 a month.
Plus, if you have Netflix or Stan subscriptions, you can access them right on your Fetch TV set-top box.

How to switch to Dodo NBN
To find out if you're eligible for a Dodo NBN plan, first check your address in our broadband search engine. If Dodo is listed in the search results, congratulations: you can make the switch.
Once you've picked a plan that works for you and your family, you can place an order directly with Dodo either by phone or online. Dodo will help you to organise an installation date and time, plus take care of transferring any current broadband plan you may have over to its NBN service.
Dodo can provide you with an NBN-ready modem, although you're free to bring your own compatible modem to any of the three plans. Customers purchasing a new modem from Dodo will need to pay $109, but keep in mind that it comes fully pre-configured, unlocked, and ready to connect, and offers fast speeds and and an extended signal reach
Another important thing to note: while installation is free for most customers, if you're located in a newly developed area with no existing telecommunications infrastructure, you may be charged a $300 New Development Fee by NBN Co.

How fast are Dodo NBN plans?
Currently, the top speed for Dodo NBN plans is 50 Mbps. This is slower than the maximum speed of the NBN (100Mbps) but because of technical limitations, this is a more realistic maximum speed for most homes.
You can also choose plans at speeds of 12 Mbps and 25 Mbps.
What are my data options?
Dodo NBN plans come in two sizes. Light internet uses can opt for a 101GB plan. While internet lovers have the option to included unlimited data in their selection.
Do I need to buy a new modem to sign up to Dodo?
If you already have an NBN-ready modem, you can use it with any Dodo broadband plan. However, Dodo does offer pre-configured, ready-to-use modems.
What happens if I want to cancel my Dodo NBN plan?
This depends on which contract term you selected when signing up. Obviously if you chose the 1-month contract term than there is no penalty for cancelling your plan.
If you chose a 12- or 24-month plan option Dodo will charge you $8 for each month remaining on the contract.
