NBN PRICE CHECK

Superloop is an NBN provider that offers an excellent selection of NBN plans, including a rare 100/40Mbps and even a non-standard 250/100Mbps plan. Signing up for a Superloop plan means great download speeds, plus the NBN provider has a history of offering six-month intro discounts for new subscribers.
While those intro prices are low, Superloop's typical pricing is more towards the middle in terms of comparable plans from our database. Like most NBN providers, Superloop plans don't have contracts, so you can shift away to get a better deal.
While not as much of a household name as Telstra, Optus, or TPG in the NBN space, Superloop is a popular enough provider to be tracked in the ACCC's Measuring Broadband Australia program as well as TIO complaints tracking. Consumer reviews for Superloop are also very positive, according to Product Review.
Superloop's plans and prices
Superloop's typical pricing isn't as competitive as budget NBN providers in our database, but it does have a history of offering promotional pricing for new customers. Here's a snapshot of Superloop's charging practices:
- No contracts with $0 setup fees (for standard connections)
- 30 days' notice required for cancelling an NBN plan
- Competitive introductory discounts
- Decent typical monthly pricing
- BYO device; alternatively, add an Amazon eero 6+ mesh system or ZTE H1600 modem-router
Superloop can compete with budget NBN providers via introductory pricing. Typically, new customers get six months of discounted plan fees before the prices revert to a decent-but-not-overly-low ongoing price. While Superloop NBN plans don't have a contract, you are required to give 30 days' notice to leave, so time it right when switching plans if you don't want to fight over potential exit fees.
Outside of the notice period, there shouldn't be any other costs, even if you opt to add an Amazon eero 6+ mesh WiFi system or ZTE H1600 modem-router at sign-up. Either of those networking gear add-ons has a $20 shipping fee, but both are paid off in full upfront. At the time of review, Superloop was offering an eero 6+ for free. If you do go with the eero 6+, we advise buying an extra one or two separately (Superloop only offers a single-unit option) for whole-home WiFi coverage. We don't recommend the ZTE H1600 as a reliable modem-router.
As is the norm, Superloop doesn't charge any connection fees. The only disclaimer is that if you're in a home that was built post-April 2016, you may be required to pay a $300 new development fee. That's an NBN Co charge, though; check with Superloop if it potentially applies to your home.
Here's a list of Superloop's fixed-line NBN plans, ranked in terms of introductory price:
For comparison, here's a look at some other NBN plans in our database (sorted by price:)
Internet speed
Superloop is one of the fastest NBN providers in our database, which reports fast typical evening speeds and scores well in the ACCC's quarterly 'Broadband performance data' reports.
ACCC results
Of the 10 providers tracked in the ACCC's June 2025 performance report, Superloop ranked in the top five. Download speeds were great for the busy hours and busiest hours: 102.8% and 100.6%, respectively. Comparatively, that's not far behind the top busy (104.6%) and busiest (103.7%) results from Telstra.
For upload speeds during the busy hour, Superloop nabbed a bronze medal with 90.6%. There's an even closer gap between that and Exetel's top score of 91.8%. Note that download speeds are typically higher and upload speeds are typically lower percentage-wise because NBN providers overprovision downloads (whereas uploads aren't).
Typical Evening Speeds
Superloop's self-reported typical evening download speeds are some of the fastest in our database. For its NBN 25, NBN 50, NBN 100, and NBN 250 plans, Superloop self-reports max download speeds.
In a rarer move, Superloop also offers an NBN 100/40 plan, which self-reports respectable upload speeds alongside max 100Mbps download speeds. Superloop also has a unique NBN 250/100 plan, with up to 85Mbps typical evening upload speeds. Self-reported upload speeds for the rest of its plans are also respectable and conservative compared to the percentages measured by the ACCC.
Superloop NBN plan features
Superloop NBN plans have a moderate amount of features, including the option to earn credit via a referral fee. Superloop is one of a few providers to offer CVC transparency, so customers get more visibility over NBN demand and usage in 121 areas around Australia.
Mobile and internet bundling
Customers who add a Superloop prepaid mobile plan get a $5 discount on their NBN bill. It's the same story for adding an optional home phone plan. If you add both, you'll get a $7.50 monthly discount on your Superloop NBN invoice.
Networking gear add-on or BYO
Superloop offers a couple of choices for hardware add-ons with an NBN plan. It costs $20 for shipping, otherwise it's a $170 upfront fee for either a single-unit Amazon eero 6+ mesh WiFi system or the ZTE H1600 modem-router.
Alternatively, it costs $0 to bring your own router, modem-router, or mesh Wi-Fi system. Superloop offers a specific guide for the Amazon eero 6+, alongside general setup guides for the following networking hardware brands:
- Asus
- D-Link
- Huawei
- NetComm
- Netgear
- TP-Link
- ZTE
CGNAT opt-out
While Superloop uses CGNAT – a potential hurdle for anyone looking to open the ports required to host servers – you can opt out for free by contacting customer support. Additionally, Superloop also supports IPv6, and you can get a static IP address for $5 extra per month.
WhistleOut Awards
Superloop cleaned up in our WhistleOut Awards 2025 when it came to internet customer satisfaction. Of the five internet customer satisfaction categories, Superloop took our four: most satisfied customers, internet speed, reliability, and price. It also won the overall award for internet customer satisfaction.
Customer service
We know that customer service experiences and satisfaction can vary between people. For example, most of the providers in our database have under four-star reviews on Product Review, but Superloop isn't one of those.

WhistleOut customer satisfaction survey
Score: 4.3/5
In a WhistleOut internet provider customer satisfaction survey, Superloop scored 4.3 out of 5 overall, second only to Telstra customers. Surveyed Superloop customers rated the provider 4.3 for speed (top result), 4.22 for reliability (top result), 3.9 for price (top result), and 3.93 for customer service (behind Aussie Broadband and iiNet).
TIO complaints
Increased year-on-year
While the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO) doesn't take market share into account – potentially skewing the number of complaints relative to an influx of new customers – it's a helpful measure of customer satisfaction.
In the TIO report for January to March 2025, Superloop complaints went up by 35% compared to the same quarter in 2024. Instead of the 216 complaints in 2024, Superloop had 216 in Q1 of 2025. It's worth flagging that Superloop notes a 60% increase to customers in its FY25 results and has 731,000 customers, which adds context to the increase in TIO complaints.

Product Review star rating
Score: 4.3 stars
Product Review is a popular consumer-review website that uses a mix of star ratings and written reviews from verified customers. It's worth flagging that the results can be skewed positively or negatively. Negatively, because of human nature; we tend to go out of our way more to complain than praise. Positively (potentially), if there's a provider campaign associated with collecting user reviews. Admittedly, this is consistent across NBN provider reviews on Product Review, but take the star ratings with a grain of salt.
Superloop has a 4.3-star rating after over 4,700 reviews. While that's not as many user reviews as SpinTel (over 13,400) or Aussie Broadband (over 9,500), both on 4.5 out of 5 stars, it's still more than most of the providers on Product Review that we track in our database. Apart from Aussie Broadband and SpinTel, Superloop NBN is only behind Moose (4.6 from over 3,600 reviews) and Swoop (4.8 from over 2,20+ reviews) in terms of user scores.
On the other end of the scale, Superloop is ranked ahead of household names like Telstra (1.7 from over 2,100 reviews), Optus (1.5 from over 2,400 reviews), Vodafone (2.1 from over 500 reviews), and TPG (1.8 from over 4,900 reviews).
Superloop's Product Review star rating also breaks down into these sub-categories: 4.1 on value for money (3,100 ratings), 4.1 on transparency (2,900 ratings), and 4.2 on customer service (3,200 ratings). You can see Superloop's full Product Review breakdown here.
