Tangerine mobile customers will have access to greatly improved international roaming options from July 21.
The Telstra-powered provider plans to sell two new roaming add-ons that offer much better value than its current options. Customers will be able to pick between a seven-day pack with 5GB of data for $35, or a 14-day pack with 10GB for $55.
Currently, Tangerine customers have access to a five-day pack with 1GB for $25, or a 10-day pack with 2GB for $50.
The new packs bring pricing down from $25 for a single gigabyte to between $5.5 and $7 per gig depending on which pack you pick.
In addition to data, Tangerine's new packs come with 30 minutes of talk and 30 text messages on the seven-day option, or 60 minutes of talk and 60 text messages on the 14-day.

Tangerine is the latest small provider to revamp its international roaming inclusions. In the past few months, we've seen Belong, amaysim, and Boost all add reasonably priced international roaming options.
Until recently, semi-affordable international roaming has been limited to Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone. Smaller providers typically haven't offered roaming as a service, or when they have, charged at pay-as-you-go rates that were equivalent to over $1,000 for a single gigabyte.
