Whether you're coupled-up or riding solo, Virgin Mobile wants you to feel the love this Valentine's Day. The telco has announced a new price cut on its popular $80 phone plan, plus a special pre-order offer for the upcoming OPPO R11s.
First up: looking for a new phone and a plan with lots of data and awesome extras? Pick up a selected device on Virgin Mobile's $80 Phone Plan, and you'll score a discount of $20 per month - a saving of $480 over two years.
The deal is valid for new and upgrading customers signing up for a 24-month contract for the following handsets:
- Samsung Galaxy S8 ($0 per month phone cost)
- Samsung Galaxy S8 & Gear S3 bundle ($15 per month phone cost)
- iPhone 8 64GB ($5 per month phone cost)
- iPhone 8 256GB ($15 per month phone cost)
- iPhone 8 Plus 64GB ($15 per month phone cost)
- OPPO R11s ($0 per month phone cost)
- Sony Xperia XZ Premium ($0 per month phone cost)
Your now-$60 plan comes with 16GB of monthly fast data, plus unlimited standard national calls and texts. You'll also get $300 of international call and text value, plus unlimited standard international calls to China, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
If that's not enough, the plan also includes data-free music streaming from Spotify, Google Play Music, and iHeart Radio through to the end of March, plus data bonuses: you can roll over any unused megabytes to the following month, or share unwanted data with other Virgin Mobile customers.
OPPO R11s pre-order offer
Virgin Mobile's 16GB plan promo is available now, through to February 26. If you're keen on the brand-new OPPO R11s, but don't require a heap of data, you can score the phone on a 3GB plan for just $40 per month, for both your plan and phone. You'll pay $36 per month for your plan, plus a $4 monthly charge for the OPPO itself, over 24 months.
As with the above 16GB deal, the 3GB OPPO plan also includes unlimited standard national calls and texts, data-free music streaming, and data rollover and sharing. You'll also get $50 of international credit each month (unfortunately, unlimited international calls aren't included on this plan).
You can order your OPPO R11s on this deal from now until February 28, with the device available in-store from February 5.
Get up to 20% off your Virgin Mobile plan
If none of the above phones are floating your boat, but you're still ready to upgrade or switch to Virgin, you can also score a 10% monthly discount on any Virgin Mobile phone plan.
That's a saving of up to $240 over 24 months, and while it's not available to combine with the $60 Valentine's deal outlined above, you can team it with plenty of devices, including the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy Note8.
Also up for grabs at Virgin Mobile? A 20% monthly discount on all 12-month SIM-only plans. So if you've got your own unlocked phone that you're not ready to part with - but you're in the market for a new monthly plan - it's a great time to move to Virgin (and save up to $144).
