June 2018: The Virgin Mobile brand is being phased out and plans are no longer available to purchase. The information on this page refers to plan details before this announcement.
There are lots of great alternatives to choose from. Start by selecting one of the options below:
Want big data, but lower bills? For a limited time, Virgin Mobile is offering a bonus 3GB or 4GB of monthly fast data on its 12-month $50 and $60 SIM-only plans, and 4GB on the $80 24-month option.
The bring-your-own-phone $50 and $60 SIM plans normally include 15GB and 18GB data each month respectively, but customers who sign up online before July 5 can instead score 18GB and 22GB at no extra cost. And if you opt for a 24-month contract and a new device, you can grab 15GB of data – normally 11GB – for $80 each month when you buy before June 15.
How to claim
To qualify, head to Virgin Mobile’s online store, select your preferred plan, and enter the relevant promo code at checkout: ‘BONUS3GB’ for the $50 SIM-only plan, or ‘BONUS4GB’ for the $60 SIM-only and $80 contract options.
All the above Virgin plans include unlimited standard national talk and texts, plus $300 of standard international calls each month. You’ll also get data-exempt music streaming, from now until February 2018, from the following services: Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, and iHeartRadio.
Customers on the $60 SIM-only and $80 24-month plans will also receive Virgin’s International Calls Bonus: unlimited standard international calls from Australia to the UK, USA, New Zealand, China, India, Canada and Singapore, provided you sign up before August 8. Both plans also include 500MB of international roaming data, to use in 20 countries within your first year of service.
Velocity members: get 10% off
Looking to save even more money on your BYO phone plan? If you’re a Velocity member and sign up by June 14, you’ll get a 10% discount on your monthly plan price (not including handset costs), plus 1000 bonus Velocity points. So you can get either 18GB of data for $45, 22GB for just $54, or 15GB for $72 on a two-year contract.
It’s important to note that while the Velocity discount applies to any Virgin plan with a 12 or 24-month contract, the bonus data promo is only available for the above three plans. However, the telco is still running its Double Data offer on the $30 SIM-only 12-month plan, giving customers who sign up by June 14 a 3GB data allowance each month, up from 1.5GB.
Virgin Mobile’s bonus data deals are available from now through to June 15 for the $80 plan, and July 5 for the $50 and $60 offers. For more info on Virgin Mobile’s SIM-only and contract offers, start comparing below.
