Double data on Virgin's $30 BYO phone plan

Don't use too much data? Need an affordable new phone plan? Virgin's running a double data promo on its $30 BYO phone plan, taking the total inclusion to 3GB per month.

While $30 can get you a little more data on other providers, Virgin's deal also gets you unlimited talk and text, data rollover, and $50 of international call credit. You do however need to sign a 12-month contract. The offer ends on June 14.

If you're just looking at Virgin, we'd suggest taking a step up to the $40 per month plan, which includes 10GB of data, $200 of international call credit, and data-free music streaming through Spotify, Google Play Music, and Pandora. If you're happy spending a little more, it's much better value.

And if you're after something else around the $30 price point, here are a couple of other options:
