Aldi Mobile will make some big changes to its SIM Only plans at the end of the month, shifting to unlimited calls and messages, and moving weekend data into the standard everyday data allowance.
The new plans will go by the same old names and prices, but will come with more value than they do currently.
Most noticeably, the Large, XL and XXL plans with include unlimited calls and SMS, rather than 43200 minutes and 50,000 text messages. Even though the end results is the same, this should help customers judge the value in the plans easier.
Also, the existing weekend data feature will be removed and that data will be a part of the standard data inclusion. For example, the XXL plan currently offers 6GB plus 1GB extra to use on weekends, but going forward customers will get 7GB to use anytime.
These new plans will come into effect on 28 April, 2016, which also happens to be the data that Aldi will complete its customer migration onto the Telstra 4G network. No doubt, it is a great time to introduce more data into plans.
