Boost Mobile has refreshed its range of prepaid plans, upping data allowances (almost) across the board. As a result of the reshuffle, Boost now has the largest standard expiry prepaid plan on the Telstra network: 30GB for $50 on a 28-day recharge.
The plan also includes data-free streaming through Apple Music, data rollover, unlimited calls to 15 international countries, 100 international minutes to 35 other countries, and 100 standard international texts to 50 countries.
If you're looking at the Telstra network, Boost's top-end recharge is as data-packed as prepaid plans go. $55 per recharge on ALDI Mobile gets you 22GB, and $50 per recharge on Lycamobile gets you 20GB. Boost also comes out favourable when compared to postpaid plans. $50 per month on Woolworths Mobile or $59 per month on Telstra gets you 25GB, both of which require you to sign a 12-month contract.
It is however worth noting that Boost's 28-day expiry means you'll need to recharge 13 times per year, rather than 12.
Boost's complete range of prepaid plans is as follows:
A little known fact about Boost Mobile technically isn't a Telstra MVNO, but a Telstra retail partner. The key benefit is that Boost Mobile has access to all Telstra 3G and 4G network towers, so you can get a signal in a few of the regional areas that the other MVNOs miss out on. This isn’t to be confused with Telstra 4GX network speeds though, which only Telstra customers can access.
