Starting tomorrow, all amaysim prepaid customers will start receiving extra data with their recharge.
Citing a spike in data usage over the last few months, the provider is extending this olive branch to it’s 700,000 existing customers until June 30.
“We’ve reviewed the data usage over the past two months, and we can see that data is what our customers value the most during this challenging time," said amaysim Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Peter O’Connell.
"With that in mind we’re giving all our customers additional data, across all of our plans, to ensure everyone is able to stay connected without having to worry about data limits during this period.”
There is no eligibility criteria for the offer, and the extra data will be applied at the first of each month for the duration of the promotion.
Customers will receive the following:
- $10 plan customers receive 10GB additional data - 11GB total
- $20 plan customers receive 20GB additional data - 25GB total
- $30 plan customers receive 30GB additional data - 60GB total
- $40 and above plans receive unlimited data
The deal is similar to the provider’s COVID-19 assistance package which was available until April 15th.
New customers also get a slice of the pie, with a lower fee for the first month and a slightly increased data allowance for the life of the plan. Once they sign up, customers will also reap the benefits of the additional data, commencing on the first day of the next available month.

Under the new pricing, a $10 plan will cost $5 the first time around, with an extra 1GB of data coming to a total of 2GB, and a $30 plan will be just $10 for your first recharge with 5GB of bonus data, to a total of 35GB.
