The OPPO Reno 5G is now available for pre-order through Telstra, and if you're keen to pick one up, we now know how much it will set you back on a plan. Better yet, if you pre-order the OPPO Reno 5G before June 11, you'll get a bonus pair of Bose QC35 noise-cancelling headphones valued at $499.95. That's a pretty great deal.
If you'd prefer not to pre-order and want to pick up the Reno 5G after it launches, you'll get a bonus pair of Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Earphones valued at $299.95. This promo will run for about four weeks.
It's worth noting that if you take up a Telstra plan with a 5G device before Telstra launches new plans at the end of June you'll get 5G connectivity for free for the life of your contract.
After Telstra launches its new plans, it will offer 5G connectivity for free to all customers for at least 12 months. After the 12 month offer is over, 5G connectivity will only be free on Telstra's two most expensive plans. Other customers will have to pay $15 per month to add 5G to their plans.
The Reno 5G is OPPO's first 5G smartphone, but there's more it to than next generation connectivity. Firstly, it has a rather unique notchless design with a pop-up shark fin front-facing camera that slides up whenever you want to take a selfie. There's a triple rear-facing camera configuration capable of 10x hybrid zoom.
Key specifications for the OPPO Reno 5G include a 6.6-inch 1080p+ display, a Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, 48MP + 8MP + 13MP rear-facing cameras, and a 4,065mAh battery
If you're considering the OPPO Reno 5G, it's worth remembering Telstra's 5G network is still in the early stages of roll-out. Limited coverage is currently available in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, on the Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Toowoomba, and only in select areas.
