Tangerine is increasing its capped mobile download speeds and the amount of data that can be banked on some of its mobile plans from November 29.
Its 25GB, 32GB, 50GB and 80GB will see capped mobile download speeds increased from 100Mbps to 150Mpbs.
Previously, customers on these plans could utilise data banking to store up to 500GB of unused data, this will now increase to 1,000GB.
Alongside a $2 monthly increase from $27 to $29, Tangerine's 25GB will now come with 5G connectivity. This will enable customers to access 5G where available on the Telstra network.
From November 29 until December 3, Tangerine will be running Black Friday offers. New customers who sign up for the 25GB plan and above will get 50% off plan fees for the first six months before plans return to their regular ongoing prices.
Right now, customers signing up for a 5G plan will get double data for the first three months when they sign up until January 31, 2025. This will extend to the 25GB plan when it becomes 5G enabled.

More, Tangerine's sister telco is also offering double data for the first three months on its 5G plans right now. It's 25GB plan will also get 5G from November 29. More's plan prices start slightly higher than Tangerine's but CommBank customers can find extra savings thanks to a special partnership.
CommBank customers signing up to More can get up to $5 off mobile plan fees for 12 months, then 10% off ongoing - CommBank Yello customers can get up to $20 off.
