The Galaxy S11 may still be a month or so away, but Samsung is tiding us over with two more affordable versions of its top phones from last year. This weekend the company introduced the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and while we don't know exactly how much they'll cost yet, they're set to be cheaper than their non-Lite siblings.
Despite the name, the Galaxy S10 Lite is actually larger than most phones in the Galaxy S10 range. It touts a 6.7-inch display, which is the same size you'll find on the Galaxy S10 5G. The design of the front is more in-line with the Galaxy Note 10 thanks to a centred hole-punch selfie camera, and the rear-camera housing is a rectangular bump similar to what we've been seeing on devices like the iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel 4.
Key specifications for the Galaxy S10 Lite include a 6.7-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 855 processor, either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 48MP + 12MP + 5MP triple rear-facing camera, and a 4,500mAh battery.
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is pretty similar to the Galaxy S10 Lite, but there are a few key differences. The most notable is that it comes with an S Pen stylus, as you'd expect from a Note-branded handset. The Note 10 Lite also has a Samsung processor rather than a Snadragon, and a different camera configuration.
Key specifications for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite include a 6.7-inch 1080p display, a Samsung Exynos 9810 processor, either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 12MP + 12MP + 12MP rear-facing camera, and a 4,500mAh battery. Unlike the Galaxy S10 Lite, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite has a headphone jack.
Australian pricing and availability for the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite has yet to be confirmed.
