Optus is one step closer to launching its 5G network, with the telco today confirming it will range the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. This makes the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G the first 5G smartphone you can buy on Optus. However, while Telstra and outright retailers are set to have the Note 10+ 5G in stores from August 23, Optus won't begin delivering its Note 10+ 5G stock until September 20.
These are Optus' plans for the Galaxy Note 10+:
Opting for the 5G model will cost you an extra $10 per month. Clicking through one of the above buttons will give you the option of the 256GB 4G Note 10+ or the 512GB 5G model.
Initial 5G coverage maps published on Optus' website show that the company's network is still very much a work in progress. For example, Optus' coverage map for northern Sydney only shows patches of coverage around Marsfield, Macquarie Park, and Balmoral. In addition, Optus says 5G coverage is currently not available indoors.

At present, Optus has 5G coverage in parts of New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
Optus previously confirmed it will also be ranging a 5G device from OPPO. We're expecting this to be the Reno 5G, but specifics have yet to be confirm.
Optus is also currently trailing 5G home wireless broadband, but this is on an invite-only basis.
