Boost Mobile is teaming up with refurbishing company Alegre to offer a range of refurbished smartphones to customers. Available devices include handsets as new as the iPhone X and Galaxy S9+, and go as far back as the iPhone SE and Galaxy S7 for those who want to save a little more.
Boost Mobile's partner Alegre says it performs a 72-point check to ensure all refurbished phones perform at a high standard and have enough battery capacity left. In addition, it only sources Australian compliant phones that have been wiped and cross-checked against a police database.
Refurbished smartphones may have minor cosmetic damage including scuffing or light scratches on the screen, but won't have any cracks. These refurbished devices are backed by a 12-month warranty.

Every phone comes with a bonus $30 Boost Mobile SIM card with a 28-day expiry. This gets you 20GB, and a bonus 15GB on your first three recharges. Alternatively, you can get a $15 discount on Boost's $150 SIM, which gets you 80GB on a 12-month expiry. That works out to the equivalent of 6.66GB for $11.25 per month.
Here is Boost Mobile's current range of 28-day recharges:
A little known fact about Boost Mobile is that it's a Telstra retail partner, rather than a Telstra MVNO. That means Boost Mobile customers get access to all of Telstra's 3G and 4G network towers, so you can get a signal in a few of the regional areas that the other MVNOs miss out on.
