Bendigo Bank Telco (BBT), the phone arm of the Australian bank, has released changes to its existing plans, adding more data and shying away from the unlimited calls and text inclusions in many of its competitor’s offerings.
BBT customers now choose from four plans, starting from $19.95 per month and stepping up in $10 tiers thereafter. It’s king-size plan includes 3000 calling minutes, 3,000 SMS/MMS and 3GB of data on the Optus 4G network.
Taking a look in our comparison tables, the plans still aren’t the cheapest or most generous for inclusions (amaysim’s 5GB plan still looks good), but BBT does remain one of the few Aussie MVNOs to sell smartphones on contract with its plans.
It’s current phone range include the Samsung Galaxy S5, the HTC One M8 and the Apple iPhone 5s. The phones aren’t obviously discounted, with the HTC costing $960 over 24-months and the others at $840 at the end of the term. Still, it is a convenient option for customers who don’t want to fork out full price upfront for their new handset.
