The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is a premium phone with top-tier hardware, but it also comes with a premium price tag – even more so than last year's S25 Ultra. As such, you'll probably want to protect your investment with a case. There are already a lot to choose from, so we've put together a curated list of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra cases to suit a range of tastes and needs.
Best Samsung phone case: S26 Ultra c11 magnet case

RRP AU$59
Something a bit different?
- Magnetic wireless charging compatible
- Interesting designs offer a point of differentiation
- Not going to suit all tastes
Let's face it, phone cases tend to look a little samey. And when you're talking about official Samsung-branded cases, they can also cost a pretty penny compared to a third party brand. So if you're going to pay the Samsung premium, why not take the path less travelled and opt for something with a little flair?
The Galaxy S26 Ultra c11 Cases certainly attempt that. Available in two designs, the Fearless Edition has a floral ace of spades design on the outside and a joker on the inside, hidden where only you will know about it. The timepiece pattern of the Chronos Edition might appeal to steampunk fans, or anyone else who appreciates the 3D effect created by the layered composition, which makes good use of the rear plate's otherwise clear face.
As for protection, these cases are pretty basic. They should help keep your phone safe from day to day damage, but don't expect them to compete with anything more rugged.
Best waterproof case: Ghostek Nautical Slim

RRP AU$58.00
An all-enclosed protective case that doesn't add much bulk.
- Water, dust, and shock resistant despite its thin design
- Supports magnetic Qi2 wireless charging
- Removing the cover might affect fingerprint recognition after putting it back on
Shopping for waterproof and water resistant cases can be a bit like the wild west. Plenty of brands appear to make claims about their products that simply fall short. For example, make sure any waterproof case you're looking at is fully enclosed – many of them leave a gaping hole for the camera bump, which is obviously no bueno.
Ghostek has a good reputation, however, particularly for its Nautical Slim line. These cases are impressively thin, adding very little bulk compared to many other waterproof options while being submersible up to 1.8m.
Despite its sleek profile, Ghostek still claims 3.6m of drop resistance, but don't expect hefty protection for anything directly hitting the screen, as the cover is quite thin and flexible. It's also magnetic Qi2 wireless charging compatible and even allows S-Pen access.
For the fingerprint scanner (a common problem for cases with screen covering), there's a small adhesive area that's covered by tape until you're ready to set it up. This should mean the fingerprint scanner maintains good access to your skin. But it might also mean removing your phone from the case is a bad idea, as the adhesion might degrade each time you do this.
Best magnetic phone case: Quad Lock Galaxy MAG
RRP AU$54.99
Competitively priced for the basics (including magnetic wireless charging), but more rewarding the more you invest.
- Impact-absorbing outer shell without a whole lot of extra bulk
- Magnetic Qi2 wireless charging compatible
- Full functionality costs extra via other accessories
In its basic form, the Quad Lock Galaxy S26 Ultra MAG case ticks the right default boxes. Phone body protection? Check. magnetic Qi2 wireless charging compatibility? Check. And if all you’re after is a basic case at a competitive price with those features, this Quad Lock case is a good place to start comparisons.
But if you’re comfortable peering down the accessories hole, the versatility goes up in line with the extra optional investments. Quad Lock offers basics like a lanyard, screen protector, mag wallet, and various colours of replaceable magnetic rings, among other things. The indent on the back is compatible with all Quad Lock mounts, which are rotatable and designed to securely attach your phone to a holder built for car, motorbike, or bicycle.
Best magnetic charging case: Quad Lock Galaxy MAG (again)
RRP AU$54.99
Competitively priced for the basics (including magnetic Qi2 wireless charging), but more rewarding the more you invest.
- Impact-absorbing outer shell without a whole lot of extra bulk
- Magnetic Qi2 wireless charging compatibles
- Full functionality costs extra via other accessories
You might not be aware of this, but not all magnetic cases are compatible with wireless charging, so you need to be careful.
Thankfully, our pick this year for best magnetic case does have wireless charging support, hence why the Quad Lock Mag case is making a second showing here. We won't bore you by repeating ourselves, so scroll back up a teensy way if you want a refresher on its virtues.
Best wallet phone case: Torro Detachable Wallet Case
RRP AU$129.99
Real leather, real wallet, real convenient.
- Full phone protection with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging support
- Extra versatility: store cards, cash and hands-free landscape viewing
- High RRP
There are multiple kinds of wallet cases – minimalist with space for a couple of cards, detachable magnetic sleeves, and even flip-open ones can vary, such as whether or not they have space for cash.
We've opted for the full monty: a flip-open wallet with space for three cards, bank notes, folds into a stand, and which is made of leather. As such, it's a little pricier than other options, but has one two other important benefits: it's compatible with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging and the protective phone section is detachable.
This last point will be a big drawcard for some. You don't always need cash and cards with you, but a full wallet case can take up a lot of space in your pocket. This way you can easily attach or detach your phone as needed.
Best slim phone case: Spigen Liquid Air (Mag Fit)
RRP AU$39.99
A slimline case with good protection, also available without magnets for cheaper.
- Thin and protective case with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging support
- Spigen is a long-standing, trusted brand
- Not particularly aesthetically distinct
Spigen cases have been around almost as long as smartphones, and for good reason. The company has a reputation for reliable cases that ride the line between protective and comfortable – and the Liquid Air is one of its more popular options.
There's obviously a limit to how protective a slim case can be, but not all are created equal. There's usually only room for one type of protective material, as opposed to thicker cases, which can use a mixture of hard and rubberised. But if you're going to choose one, in our experience softer slimline cases like this can help disperse impact a little better than solid ones.
The Liquid Air Mag Fit, as you might expect, is compatible with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging, despite its sleek profile. But if magnets aren't important to you, the basic Liquid Air is also available for the Galaxy S26 Ultra and is $10 cheaper ($29.99).
Best phone case with strap: Urban Armor Gear Pathfinder Clear
RRP AU$101.24
A big focus on drop protection (and avoidance) with some neat features.
- Rated for 5.4-metre drops, with an included strap to avoid those drops
- Compatible with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging
- Urban Armor Gear pricing changes for Aussies based on USD
The Pathfinder Clear Case from Urban Armor Gear is a tough case available with or without a lanyard. Pricing unfortunately varies based on the US dollar, but at the time of writing the lanyard version was $101.24, while the lanyard-less option was about $20 cheaper at $86.77.
Whether you opt for the strap or not, the Pathfinder is rated for drops up to 5.4m. Though thanks to its tactile grip and (probably) lanyard, you should also reap the benefits of prevention being better than a cure.
That’s the practicalities of protection sorted, but this case also has a magnetic module. So, this case will work with magnetic Qi2 wireless charging and other magnetic attachments. The mag module glows in the dark and, as an eco-friendly plus, the Pathfinder case is reportedly built with 50% recycled materials.
What to look for in a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra case
If you want to do more research into the right Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra case (which we heartily encourage), take these factors into account before buying:
- Compatibility. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of three mobile phones that are part of the flagship line. There’s also the base model Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus. For the right fit, you need a case that’s built for the S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch screen and dimensions.
- Functionality. At a basic level, an entry-level case can protect the S26 Ultra’s body, cameras and screen (partially) from wear and tear. But there are cases that offer more than shock protection. Consider a case with a strap for drop deterrence. Or a phone case with a card holder to store credit cards and cash.
- Price. The cheapest case from our selections is $39.99. And the priciest one is over $120. If you want to cut costs on a case, Amazon has basic cases for under $20. But if you want protection and features from a reliable brand, expect to dig deeper for a case that ticks the right boxes.
- Aesthetics. If you want to respect your S26 Ultra colour choice, consider buying a clear phone case. A word of warning, however: cheap clear cases tend to yellow and scratch quickly, so you might need to spend a bit more if you want your case to keep looking schmick as time goes on. But there are phone cases that offer multiple colours or even different materials and patterns.
- S-Pen compatibility. Reportedly, some magnetic cases for previous Samsung Galaxy S Ultra phones have had a negative impact on S-Pen support. Make sure you do a quick web search to see if anyone has reported such a problem with your prospective case before you click buy. Handily, some brands save you the hassle and specifically confirm S-Pen support on their website.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra case FAQs
Does my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra need a case?
Need a case? No. Should it have a case? Absolutely. Otherwise, you’re holding a very expensive product that’s a drop or scrape away from a very bad day. You've already spent over $2,000 on a phone, so now probably isn't the time to start counting dollars.
Will my Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra fit inside my S25 Ultra case?
No, while very similar, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and S25 Ultra don’t have identical dimensions. If you have any other case than one purpose-built for an S26 Ultra, you shouldn’t try to fit your smartphone inside it. Even if it seems to fit, it might not be snug enough to provide proper protection.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have MagSafe?
No. First, MagSafe is a proprietary name held by Apple. That said, many non-Apple phones are compatible with MagSafe, but the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra isn't one of them. There are plenty of S26 Ultra cases that add MagSafe or non-proprietary magnetic compatibility – just make sure it also supports wireless charging if that's important to you.
