Google just announced its latest Pixel devices, and the Pixel 11 is the new entry-level model. While not a huge update on last year, the Pixel 11 benefits from an improved primary camera lens, Google's latest chipset, and some fun new colours.
Pixel 11 pre-orders are now live ahead of an August 20 release date.
Google Pixel 11 plans
The Pixel 11 is available on mobile plans from Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone. All three telcos offer 24-month and 36-month repayments. A 24-month term means you own your Pixel 11 faster, while a 36-month term brings down your monthly cost.
Note that Vodafone only has the 256GB Pixel 11; it isn't ranging the 512GB model.
We are still populating our interactive tables. If not all plans are showing, refresh or check back soon.

Google Pixel 11 features

Google Pixel 11 design
The Pixel 11 looks pretty similar to the Pixel 10 aesthetically, and still features a 6.3-inch display protected with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. There are some small tweaks to the camera bar, however, which is now thinner and glass its entire width.
The Pixel 11 is available in a choice of Frost, Obsidian, Hibiscus, and Pistachio.
Google Pixel 11 camera
The Pixel 11 benefits from a new primary camera. It's still a 48MP lens, but Google says it has 56% more light sensitivity due to the increased sensor size. This is paired with a 13MP ultra-wide lens and a 10.8MP 5x zoom lens, which return from last year's device. The selfie camera is still a 10.5MP lens.
Google Pixel 11 battery
The Pixel 11 has a 4,985mAh battery, which is roughly on par with last year's model. Google says the Pixel 11 will last up to 30 hours per charge. This time around, the Pixel 11 features 25W wireless charging, up from 15W on the Pixel 10.
Google Pixel 11 processor
The Pixel 11 is powered by Google's Tensor G6 chipset, as found in the rest of the Pixel 11 family. Google says the new processor delivers 25% faster web browsing and 15% faster app loading.
Google Pixel 11 software updates
Google says the Pixel 11will get seven years of major operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates. This is a best-in-class promise for an Android device. As such, we're expecting Android 23 to be the last version of Android the Pixel 11 will be upgraded to.
Google Pixel 11 5G
The Pixel 11 naturally has 5G connectivity. WhistleOut's coverage checker tool has 5G coverage maps, making it easy to see whether you can get 5G. All you need to do is pop in your address when searching for a new phone plan. After you've done so and hit Search, you can jump straight to the coverage map by tapping See Coverage Map and then tapping Click To Activate Interactive Map.
This map will show you what kind of coverage you have in your area. 5G coverage is highlighted using the darkest shade of purple, but unticking 4G can help make it clearer. The drop-down menu lets you choose between telcos.
Coverage maps are only approximate, only show outdoor coverage, and may be impacted by local conditions such as buildings.

Google Pixel 11 plan providers
Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone are all ranging the Pixel 11. Here's a breakdown of the major benefits you can expect each provider to offer.
Telstra Pixel 11 plans
Telstra Pixel plans are often the priciest on the Australian market, but they do come with a host of perks.
Telstra lets you pay your Pixel off over 12, 24, or 36 months, and all plans are free from excess data charges. If you go over your cap, your data will simply be slowed to speeds of 1.5Mbps, which is still fast enough to stream video in SD. But speeds may be slower during peak times.
Telstra still has Australia's largest mobile network, covering over 2.14 million square kilometres. In addition, Telstra has a partnership with Starlink operator SpaceX, allowing you to send text messages via satellite when mobile coverage is unavailable. A clear view of the sky is needed for this.
Telstra is the only telco in Australia to still have a rewards program. As a customer, you earn points for every dollar spent with Telstra, which can then be redeemed for discounts on new tech.
Optus Pixel 11 plans
- Discounted access to streaming services through SubHub
- $5 for 5GB of roaming data when overseas
Optus Pixel plans come with solid data inclusions.
Higher-end Optus plans also come with unlimited international calls to selected destinations included with the plan.
All Optus plans are contract-free, and devices can be paid off across 12, 24, or 36 months.
In addition, all Optus postpaid plans are free from excess data charges. If you go over your allowance, you'll be slowed to 1.5Mbps rather than being billed $10 per gigabyte.
Vodafone Pixel 11 plans
Vodafone Pixel 11 plans may not come with the kinds of freebies and perks you can get from Optus or Telstra, but they have bonuses when it comes to bundling.
If you have a Vodafone mobile plan, you can get most of the telco's internet plans - NBN, 5G home internet, and 4G home internet - at a discounted rate.
Vodafone customers also save $5 per month if they bundle a second mobile plan on to their account, and then an extra $15 for each plan after.
Vodafone postpaid plans are all free from excess data charges. When you go over your plan allowance, you'll be capped at 2Mbps.
You'll also get access to Vodafone's famous $5 roaming, which is still easily the best way to travel with your Australian phone number.
Thanks to a network sharing agreement with Optus, Vodafone's network coverage is now practically identical to Optus' when it comes to 4G.
How to choose the best Google Pixel 11 plan for you
There are a few key factors to keep in mind when picking a Pixel 11 plan:
- Answering "how much mobile data do I use" can help you avoid overspending. Don't pay for more data than you need
- Decide whether you want to pay off your phone shorter on a 24-month plan or get a smaller bill over a longer period of time on a 36-month plan
- If you're a frequent overseas traveller, consider any international roaming inclusions
- You may also want to make international phone calls so check if the destinations you may be calling are included in your plan
