You’ve just dropped a pretty penny on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The first order of business is to protect that investment with a case. If that sounds like you, check out our curated list of Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra cases to suit a range of tastes.
Best Samsung phone case: Samsung Standing Grip Case

RRP AU$79
An official case that does the protection basics and offers dual grip/stand functionality.
- Fold-out loop for extra grip or use as a landscape stand
- Sides, corners and back protection with easy access to bottom ports
- RRP feels a smidge high for what you get
If you’re ordering a Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung instead of paying it off month-to-month with Optus, Telstra, or Vodafone. you’ll be prompted to add accessories at checkout. And one of the options that’s worth adding to your cart is the Samsung Standing Grip Case. For starters, there are even a few colour options to choose from.
More importantly, it does the basics of protecting the shell, sides and corners of your S25 Ultra without blocking the all-important rear cameras and bottom ports (including the speaker and SIM card slot). But the main attraction is the sliding grip. Slide it down for a better single-finger grip, or pop it on a desk for landscape viewing.
Best waterproof case: Oaktree Rugged Case

RRP AU$99.50
An all-enclosed protective case that ticks all the right ‘-proof’ boxes.
- Waterproof, dustproof and shockproof design that removes the need for a screen protector
- Despite the protection, it still supports wireless charging
- Screen cover may cause issues with fingerprint recognition
Screen protection is paramount with a new phone. After all, the screen is how you control most functions on a modern smartphone. If you buy something like the Oaktree Rugged Case, though, you can roll phone body and screen protection into a single enclosure.
The shock protection should allow for drops from just above 3.5 metres, while the IP68 waterproof rating also lends itself to dustproofing. Admittedly, that waterproofing may be overkill for some, given the Galaxy S25 Ultra has that same rating. Still, despite the all-phone enclosure, it’s great to see the Oaktree case still supports wireless charging.
Best magnetic phone case: Quad Lock Galaxy MAG
RRP AU$49.99
Competitively priced for the basics (including MagSafe), but more rewarding the more you invest.
- Impact-absorbing outer shell without a whole lot of extra bulk
- The proprietary MAG case is also MagSafe compatible
- Full functionality costs extra via other accessories
In its basic form, the Quad Lock Galaxy S25 Ultra MAG case ticks the right default boxes. Phone body protection? Check. MagSafe compatibility? Check. And if all you’re after is a basic case at a competitive price with those features, this Quad Lock case is a good place to start comparisons.
But if you’re comfortable peering down the accessories hole, the versatility goes up in line with the extra optional investments. Quad Lock offers basics like a lanyard or screen protector. But you can also up the functionality with a MAG wallet or phone ring. The indent on the back is compatible with Quad Lock mounts, designed to securely attach your phone to a holder built for car, motorbike, or bicycle.
Best wallet phone case: Tough On Flip Wallet Case
RRP AU$34.99
Full Galaxy S25 Ultra protection with an inbuilt landscape stand, plus slots to store your cards and cash.
- Full phone protection with a convenient magnetic latch
- Extra versatility: store a few cards, cash and handsfree landscape viewing
- That low RRP means it’s not real leather (if that’s what you prefer)
Full disclosure: this Tough On case may have “Leather” in its full product name, but it’s artificial PU leather, not the real deal. Given the low asking price, that’s not surprising. That said, what you get is worth considering for the asking price, and there are a handful of colour configurations to choose from.
The greater value is in the practicality of this case. Ditch your wallet and combine it into a phone case. And the Tough On case has space for three priority cards, plus a full-height pocket for storing cash. There’s also a lanyard hole if you want to add a strap, and the interior design allows for hands-free screen viewing in landscape orientation.
Best slim phone case: Mous Limitless 6.0
RRP AU$126.54
A slimline upgrade to the Limitless cases that have come before.
- Thin and protective case with MagSafe functionality
- A healthy selection of different materials to choose from
- No real standout features outside of being a sturdy, slimline phone case
Mous has made a name for itself as a manufacturer and, more importantly, improver of its older phone case. Take the Limitless 6.0 phone case, for instance. It has hundreds of positive reviews from users for other compatible mobile phones. For S25 Ultra users, expect a shockproof case that’s thin and has raised edges for camera and screen protection.
The Mous case also has MagSafe integration, so you can keep or start collecting MagSafe accessories while still having the option of wireless charging. There are also side eyelets to add an optional strap. We’re fans of the first-choice Aramid Fibre material, but there are seven others to choose from if that’s not your jam.
Best phone case with strap: Urban Armor Gear Pathfinder Clear
RRP AU$104.89
A big focus on drop protection (and avoidance) with some neat features.
- Rated for 5.4-metre drops, with an included strap to avoid those drops
- MagSafe-compatible with a module that glows in the dark
- Urban Armor Gear pricing changes for Aussies based on USD
Clear cases are popular picks for smartphone protection, and that’s the start of the appeal for the Urban Armor Gear Pathfinder. Pick whether you want a strap on the left or right of the case, then pop on the included lanyard for drop prevention. Even if you do drop your case-wrapped S25 Ultra, the Pathfinder is rated for drops up to 5.4 metres.
That’s the practicalities of protection sorted, but this case also has a magnetic module. So, this case is compatible with MagSafe, other magnetic attachments and wireless charging. The best bit: that magnetic module glows in the dark. And as an eco-friendly plus, the Pathfinder case is reportedly built with 25% recycled materials.
What to look for in a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra case
If you want to do more research into the right Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra case (which we heartily encourage), take these factors into account before buying:
- Compatibility. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of three mobile phones that are part of the flagship line. There’s also the base model Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus. For the right fit, you need a case that’s built for the S25 Ultra’s 6.9-inch screen.
- Functionality. At a basic level, an entry-level case can protect the S24 Ultra’s body, cameras and screen (partially) from wear and tear. But there are cases that offer more than shock protection. Consider a case with a strap for drop deterrence. Or a phone case with a card holder to store credit cards and cash.
- Price. The cheapest case from our selections is $35. And the priciest one is over $120. If you want to cut costs on a case, Amazon has basic cases for under $20. But if you want protection and features from a reliable brand, expect to dig deeper for a case that ticks the right boxes.
- Aesthetics. If you want to respect your S25 Ultra colour choice, consider buying a clear phone case. But there are phone cases that offer multiple colours or even different materials. We’re not saying accessorising isn’t important, but we did list it last for a reason. Protection passes pretty.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra case FAQs
Does my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra need a case?
Need a case? No. Should it have a case? Absolutely. Otherwise, you’re holding a $2,000+ product that’s a drop or scrape away from a bad day. If you want to save money, there are cases for under $20 on Amazon.
Will my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra fit inside my S24 Ultra case?
No, while it is a successor, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra don’t have identical dimensions. If you have any other case than one purpose-built for an S25 Ultra, you shouldn’t try to fit your smartphone inside it.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra have MagSafe?
No. By default, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is not a MagSafe-compatible device. That said, there are plenty of S25 Ultra cases that add MagSafe compatibility.
