Woolworth’s Mobile launched a new promotion in preparation for the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch in a fortnight, adding a hefty data bonus to its large plan, taking the monthly total to 12GB.
Available now until the May 14, anyone ordering a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ paired with a Woolworth’s Large Plan will get a big 12GB of data to burn through each month.
By comparison, the other major telcos lining up to sell the Galaxy S8 have plans at around the same price, but without the same enormous data inclusion. Optus is closest, but still not as good. Virgin and Vodafone are cheaper, but you'll miss out on 50% of the data.
Happily, all telcos are offering the free Galaxy Gear VR headset with pre-orders. Though it is really Samsung running this promotion, so the telcos can't take credit for this awesome deal.
The Galaxy S8 is gearing up to be one of the biggest phone launches of the year. At the time of writing, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are the most searched for phones in our database, despite not being available for sale until the 28th of April.
Samsung's latest phone promises to be its best yet, with several new ideas we're looking forward to checking out. The handset looks to be as capable as previous Galaxy phones, but it is the new DeX computer docking station that has caught our attention. If Samsung has managed to create a decent computer-like experience as well as a great phone, the S8 could be a winner.
