Vaya unveils newly named plans with cheaper prices

Vaya today announce major changes in its monthly plan structure, simplifying the plan names and price tiers, and adding a couple of new high value plans.

The plan range increase from 6 plans to 8, with both Power Plans and Unlimited Plans to be offered in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large variants.

Keeping it all impressively simple, with the difference between the Power Plan and Unlimited Plan at each step costing just $2 extra. For example, the Small plans include unlimited SMS and 1.5GB of data, so customers will choose between $650 call credit for $18 per month or unlimited calls for $20 per month.

Vaya also introduces new 'XL' sized plans, with the same call and SMS inclusions as the lower priced options, but with a massive 7GB of included data each month, for either $34 or $36 per month (depending on whether you need unlimited calls).

The new plans make the Amaysim-owned Vaya even more competitive in the sub-$30 price bracket, and unlike Amaysim, the new plans will remain on a 30 day expiry cycle and will not change to 28 days.

The new naming should help customers remember which plan is their favourite, as the old plans would change names with each incremental price tweak.

Compared with the numerous other plans costing $30 or less each month, the Vaya plans look very generous and are cheapest to popular plan combos like unlimited calls with 2GB and 3GB data.
