A quick prepaid deal from Telstra: grab a $10 SIM starter kit, get 9GB of bonus bankable data to save for a rainy day.
The company is offering an extra 9GB of data to all new prepaid customers picking up the $10 starter kit and activating their plan before February 6, 2018. Along with 1GB of data to use within 7 days, you'll also get an additional 9GB to add to your prepaid Data Bank, which allows customers to roll over unused gigabytes for future use.
Prepaid customers can stash up to 50GB of extra data in their Data Bank, and there's no expiry date for saved gigabytes. You can move any leftover data to your Bank by recharging $30 or more before your current Prepaid Extra recharge expires.
Telstra's $10 SIM Starter Kit also features unlimited Australian calls and texts and 1GB of included data, but does come with a 7-day expiry. However, all subsequent Prepaid Extra recharges include a longer 28-day expiry period, plus bigger data allowances (starting from 2.5GB on the $30 recharge) and additional international features.
Plans also include data-free music streaming from Apple Music, data-free live sport streaming of AFL, NRL and netball games, and free WiFi hotspot access through Telstra Air and Fon Spots both here and overseas.
