All Telstra mobile customers will continue to get data-free access to live AFL and NRL matches for the 2017 season through a suite of revamped apps available for both iPhone and Android. In addition, subscribers will now also get access to Netball matches, thanks to a new partnership with the code.

"Watching live sport on mobile is no longer the domain of die-hard sports fanatics, it’s what all sports lovers expect," said Telstra Media Executive Director Michele Garra. "Only Telstra partners with premiere Australian sporting codes to bring all customers a world class live mobile viewing experience."

Coinciding with renewing data-free streaming for 2017, Telstra has launched improved apps for AFL and NRL streaming, and debut an all new Netball app.

On the AFL Live app, you're now able to stream games full screen, in situ, or in a pop up that allows you to watch in a minimised player as continue to browser the app. Now also has integration and live streaming Women's AFL content. Telstra's also partnered with the AFL to rebuild all 18 club apps.

The NRL Official Live offers more intelligent viewing options,  player stats, and integration of bunker decisions for each match.

Telstra's Netball Live offers live streaming of every match and every round. In addition, Telstra TV owners will be able to stream two live matches each round in high definition. Other matches will be available as replays.

Due to the way in which sports rights are distributed in Australia, none of the apps support streaming over Chromecast or AirPlay.

These three apps are now available for download through the App Store and Google Play Store.

If you're a Telstra mobile customer, you'll get all three passes included free as part of your plan, regardless of if you're a postpaid or prepaid customer. The offer is available to all customers, starting with Telstra's $30 prepaid plan (which is currently the telco's cheapest plan).

If you're not a Telstra customer, Netball and NRL passes are both billed at $12.99 per month, while AFL is billed at $14.99 per month. Weekly and annual options are also available at different price-points.
