Santa Claus may be coming to town, but good deals have already arrived. Telstra has announced a limited-time 'staff, family and friends' Christmas offer on selected smartphones, including the in-demand Pixel 2.
Right now, you can sign on for a 15GB Go Mobile Plus plan and a brand new Android or Apple device for just $59 per month, including the cost of your phone. You'll need to sign a 24-month contract to get the deal, but seeing as the phone is bundled into the cost of your plan, it's a pretty awesome way to get your paws on the following devices:

Google Pixel (32GB)
Google Pixel XL (32GB)
Apple iPhone 6s (32GB)
Although Telstra is pushing the promotion as exclusively for its own employees, plus their family or friends, it seems even customers with no personal connections to Telstra's staff can still claim the $59 plan and phone. We gave it a go online and were met with no issues, and word on the internet is that Telstra stores are happy to waive the 'family, friend or staff' condition to in-person sign-ups.
Along with 15GB of monthly fast data, the plan also includes unlimited standard Australian calls and texts, plus several Telstra extras. You'll get live, data-free sport from the AFL, NRL and Australian netball, a free 6-month Apple Music membership (plus data-free music streaming), a free 200GB of OneDrive cloud storage, and free Telstra Air WiFi hotspot use.
The best Pixel 2 deal in Oz?
The fact that the still-new and in-demand Pixel 2 and Galaxy S8 are both included in the promo makes it a must-see for Android users ready to upgrade, but unsure about spending big dollars on a new handset.
While last year's Pixel and Pixel XL are also eligible for the offer - as well as the iPhone 6s, and Telstra's own Signature 2 - the excellent Pixel 2 or Galaxy S8 are clearly the best-value-for-money options.
As Telstra is the only Australian carrier to offer the Pixel 2 on its plans, the $59 deal is now the best-value way to pick up Google's flagship phone on-contract. Telstra's other Go Mobile Pixel 2 plans start at $69 per month for just 2GB of data, so if a new Pixel is at the top of your gift list, jump on this deal.
If you're more into the also-great Galaxy S8, however, you can get similar deals from other telcos. Right now, you'll pay $59 in total each month for your plan and the S8 on Optus' 20GB, 24-month plan, and $60 each month with Virgin Mobile (and 16GB of monthly data).
