Christmas deal roundup: The best mobile plan offers

Christmas might be a time of giving, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat yourself too. If you need a new phone or phone plan, there's plenty of silly season specials going on in the telco world, and more keep popping up every day.

To help, we've rounded up all of the best mobile Christmas offers in one place. We'll be sure to keep this story up to date, because there are almost certainly more deals on the horizon.

Vodafone

All we want for Christmas this year is more data, and Vodafone has added oodles of it to its range of SIM-only plans. Your best bet is the $40 per month SIM-only plan, which gets you 50GB of data on a 12-month contract.

Optus

Optus has gone discount crazy this Christmas, offering up to 25% off SIM-only plans until December 19. The deepest discounts have been reserved for its 80GB plan, which is now available for $41.25 per month. Here is the complete range of discounted plans. These are all sold on a 12-month contract.

If you'd prefer a new phone, Optus is also offering 12 months of free Netflix to anyone who buys a Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, or Galaxy Note 9 on a 24-month contract before January 13. Telstra

If you're not a Telstra customer and are keen to switch, Telstra will do 60GB for $49 a month on a 12-month contract. This also includes unlimited talk and text, unlimited Wi-Fi data at Telstra Air hotspots, and data-free access to Apple Music. If you're after a new phone on Telstra, you can get a Samsung Galaxy S9 for $69 per month with no additional handset repayment fees on a 24-month contract. This offer also includes 30GB of data, and unlimited talk and text, and "Peace of Mind Data". If you sign up before Christmas Eve, you'll get a bonus Google Home Mini.
