Hot deals: iPhone 8 Plus or Galaxy Note 8 and 25GB for $79 per month on Optus

Optus is running a scorcher of a summer sale, and has slashed prices on some of last year's biggest phones. If you're looking for a new handset, you can get a healthy whack of data and save big on the iPhone 8 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8, and HTC U11.

$79 per month gets you a 25GB of data, unlimited talk and text, 300 international minutes, and the choice of a new 64GB iPhone 8 Plus, 256GB iPhone 7 Plus, or Samsung Galaxy Note 8. If you'd prefer a 256GB iPhone 8 Plus, you can grab one for an extra $10 per month.

If you'd prefer to spend a little less, $59 per month gets you a 20GB of data, unlimited talk and text, 150 international minutes, and the choice of a new Samsung Galaxy S8, HTC U11, or 256GB iPhone 7.

Both the $79 and $59 plan will require to sign a 24-month contract and come with Optus' standard entertainment bonuses, including Optus Sports, and data-free music and video streaming through Spotify, Google Play Music, Netflix, and Stan. These deals will run until February 26, while stocks last.

If you’re looking at other devices or a different network, Telstra is currently running a similar promo that can get you devices such as a Pixel 2 or a Samsung Galaxy S8 on a plan with 20GB of data for $79 per month.
