The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 are just a few weeks away from release. There are a couple of tempting deals out there for those who decide to pre-order.
Optus typically puts together a decent pre-order deal with free gear up for grabs and this time is no different.
It's offering a bonus Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (45mm) valued at $849 RRP and a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro wireless earbuds valued at $349 RRP. That's a total value of $1,199 included at no extra cost when you pre-order either handset from Optus.
Plus, you'll get a free upgrade from the 256GB storage variant to the 512GB on the Z Flip 5. On the Z Fold 5, you can get that free upgrade from either the 256GB version to the 512GB or from the 512GB to the 1TB variant.
This pre-order offer runs until August 17.

How good are Optus' Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 pre-order offers?
The free storage upgrade is available no matter where you pre-order the Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 from. But Optus is the only telco offering bonus devices. If you're not after a new smartwatch or earbuds then Vodafone and Telstra both have compelling offers.
When you pre-order either handset from Vodafone you can get $500 worth of extra trade-in credit. Telstra's pre-order offer also includes $500 of extra trade-in credit but with an additional $200 device discount (split across the length of your plan).
Of the three Vodafone's plans are the cheapest and Telstra's are the most expensive. If you're not after the trade-in credit then Optus' pre-order offer presents the best value for money.
