Kogan Mobile adds 11GB plan alongside 4G upgrade

Kogan Mobile made two interconnected announcements today, launching a new high data plan and switching in 4G services for all current subscribers.

The new Kogan Mobile 11XL plan will sit at the top-end of the telcos plan structure, costing $49.95 per month with unlimited calls and SMS and 11GB data per 30 day recharge.

To make best use of a plan with such a big data inclusion, Kogan Mobile is also switching on 4G data speeds on the Vodafone network. Kogan customers will access the both the 850MHz and 1800MHz bands, so most new smartphone sold in Australia should be compatible with the upgraded network options.

Kogan customers are encouraged to test drive the new speeds with the 5XL and 11XL recharges coming with bonus data — 2GB for the 5XL plan and 1GB for the 11XL option.
