Bose QC35

Bose has updated its popular QC35 noise-cancelling headphones with Google Assistant integration and adjustable noise cancellation. Dubbed QC35 II, the new headphones appear to be otherwise identical to last year's model.

The QC35 II headphones are the first headphones to feature Google Assistant, which is summoned via an "Action Button" on the left cup. Google Assistant will act quite similarly to on a smartphone or Google Home, and allows you to use your voice to pick music, add appointments to a calendar, make calls, or just look up useless trivia.

The vast majority of Google Assistant functionality will require the headphones to be paired with an Android or iPhone. Google Assistant isn't quite as robust on iOS, but you're still able to use the multi-function button to bring up Siri.

If you're not interested in talking to your headphones, you're able to use the Action Button to change noise cancellation levels instead. While the first QC35 iteration gave you the option of keeping noise cancelling on or off, you'll have "high", "low", and "off" options with the QC35 II.

We expect sound quality should be the same as last year's model - which was excellent from our testing - and Bose estimates that you'll still get about 20-hours of battery life.

The Bose QC35 II headphones will retail for the same price as the original QC35s - $499 - and go on sale from today.
