Good deal: Get two 15GB mobile plans for free for a year when you switch to amaysim energy

Discount telco amaysim recently expanded out of the world of phone and internet plans into energy services, and is celebrating by giving two free mobile plans to customers who sign up to an eligible energy plan before midnight on June 13. 

If you make the switch, you'll get free amaysim mobile service for a year, with two plans configured on amaysim's 15GB offering. This amounts to 13 free renewals on each number, and $1,040 in terms of value. The plans also include unlimited talk and text, unlimited international calls to 10 select countries, and 300 international minutes for 22 more countries. 

The deal is available when you sign up to an eligible energy plan and use the promo code FREEMOBILE. At present, amaysim energy plans are available in parts of New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, and Queensland.   

After you've signed up for your energy service, amaysim will be in touch with with redemption details within two to three business days. While both amaysim's energy service and mobile plans are contract free, you'll lose access to your free mobile service if you cancel your free mobile service. 

Is this a good deal?

While the WhistleOut team are experts in phone and internet plans, we energy pricing isn't our specialty. Your best bet is to check out a site like the Government's Energy Made Easy website, run by the Australian Energy Regulator. Make sure you have your latest bill handy to get an accurate estimate.

We definitely know phone plans though, and a free plan is definitely better than a plan you have to pay for, especially if you've got two people in your household that can take up the offer. You'll save $520 per service over the course of the year, which certainly isn't insignificant, and 15GB per recharge is a reasonably robust data inclusion. 

Depending on your usage needs, this bundle can definitely be cheaper than paying for these services separately. Well, at least for the first year.
