Vodafone is currently running deep discounts on phone plans, having cut $15 per month off its 100GB plan. This drops the price from $60 per month to $45 per month for your first year with Vodafone. You'll pay $60 per month thereafter, but the plan is contract-free so you're free to leave whenever.
In addition to 100GB of data, this plan includes a free year of Amazon Prime (valued at $59), unlimited international minutes to "Zone 1" countries and a further 200 minutes to "Zone 2" countries. And of course, it has Vodafone's $5 per day roaming - not that it's useful right now. To get this deal, you'll need to nab it before September 14.
Here's how the plan stacks up to other options with at least 100GB:
Circles.Life is the only provider that has a 100GB plan for less, but the plan is a little more frills. There's no roaming options, no international minutes out of the box, and you don't get an Amazon Prime subscription.
Vodafone's plan can also be paired with a new device, but once again, you'll only get your discount for your first 12 months with the telco. Here a few popular phones you can pick up on Vodafone:
If you're after something cheaper, Vodafone is also offering a discount on its 50GB plan. This has been cut to $35 per month for your first 12 months, down from $45.
The plan represents great value in terms of data-for-dollar, but it's a bit more basic. You don't get the Amazon Prime subscription, and you only get 100 international minutes to Zone 1 countries.
Here's how the plan compares:
As is the norm with Vodafone, you can save extra by bundling multiple services on your account. The telco will knock 5% off your total monthly bill for every postpaid plan - across mobile, tablet, mobile broadband, NBN - you have on your account after the first, up to a maximum discount of 20% if you have five services.
