The Galaxy Fold may have only gone on sale locally today, but Samsung is already teasing another foldable phone. Today as part of its developer conference, Samsung revealed a foldable design similar to a flip phone.
Much like the Galaxy Fold, Samsung's new concept folds in half, but horizontally rather than vertically. Instead of getting a smartphone sized device that opens up to be a tablet, the flip phone inspired design seems like a traditional sized smartphone that collapses down when it's not being used.
Samsung hasn't provided any concrete details about its new foldable concept, but it wouldn't be surprising to hear more about it in February alongside the Galaxy S11 (or whatever Samsung decides to call its next flagship).
Samsung isn't the only company working on a flip phone style foldable, with TCL showing off a similar design at Mobile World Congress this year. Motorola is also expected to reveal a flip phone style foldable inspired by the RAZR in November.
