The Galaxy S25 Edge wasn't the only upcoming device Samsung teased as parts of its Galaxy S25 reveal this week.
The company's head of customer experience Jay Kim experience seemingly confirmed Samsung is working on multi-fold devices in his portion of the keynote, with a sketch of such a device feature behind him.
"Multimodal AI will transform how we interact with all [Samsung's] devices, from smartphones and wearables, to new form factors like multi-fold and XR devices", said Kim.
Multi-fold is a reasonably new form factor for foldable phones. Rather than just folding once, these devices can fold multiple times. While display manufacturers including Samsung have been showing off multi-fold screens for a few years now, Huawei is the only company to have shipped a multi-fold phone.
Huawei's Mate XT (pictured below) is the only multi-fold phone currently on the market, and exclusively available in China. When collapsed, it has a 6.4-inch display, but it can expand to as large as 10.2-inch when you fully unfold it.

Samsung's sketch of its multi-fold device looks pretty similar to the Mate XT, suggesting two hinges and three distinct display portions.
Samsung did not provide any other details about the multi-fold device, but previous rumours have suggested the manufacturer could launch such a phone in the second half of this year. Don't expect it to be cheap, however. Single-fold table-style foldable sell for well over $2,000 locally, and at current exchange rates, Huawei's Mate XT is worth over $4,000.
