Samsung will offer two larger Galaxy Ring options starting from January 23, meaning its latest wearable will now come in 11 size options.
Other than a larger size for those with bigger fingers, this new iteration of the Galaxy Ring is unchanged from the model that launched in Australia in the middle of October last year. Pricing is also the same at $699.
Notably, Galaxy Ring sizes are not the same as standard ring sizes.
To help get the right fit, customers can get a sizing kit when they buy their Galaxy Ring through the Samsung website. After paying the $699, Samsung will send out a sizing kit. Customers then have 21 days from receiving the kit to place their Galaxy Ring order. If they don't place the order during this time, the $699 is refunded.
Samsung recommends wearing the dummy ring for at least 24 hours to ensure the right fit. Based on my testing, I'd recommend even longer if possible.
I had a sizing kit in early October when the Sydney weather was a little cooler. When I was wearing the Galaxy Ring in early November, I found it tighter than I'd like on days when the temperature had exceeded 30.
Customers can just try on a Galaxy Ring in a Samsung Store as an alternative. While Samsung has been the only place you can buy a Galaxy Ring in Australia so far, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, and Telstra will soon range the wearable. We already know that JB Hi-Fi will offer the Galaxy Ring sizing kit, but for $10 rather than free.
Notably, January 23 - the date when new Galaxy Ring sizes will start being available - is also the day when Samsung is set to reveal the Galaxy S25 family.
