Apple today revealed a new purple colourway for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, meaning the pair of smartphones are now available in six different hues.
The purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are available to pre-order from April 23 ahead of an April 30 release date. Unsurprisingly, pricing is identical to what you'd currently pay for each device. Other than a fresh coat of paint, the purple iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are naturally identical to the devices currently on the market. This means you'll get an A14 processor, 5G connectivity, a drop-resistant Ceramic Shield display, and dual rear-facing cameras. Adding a new colour midway through an iPhone product life cycle is somewhat unusual for Apple. The last time the company did so was when it released a red iPhone 8 and red iPhone 8 Plus about half-a-year after the devices first went on sale.
