The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to hit Aussie shelves at the beginning of November, but you can already lock yours in by preordering it. We’ve already covered Vodafone’s Note 4 preorders, which went live first, now here is what’s available from Optus and Virgin Mobile. Unfortunately, Telstra is yet to offer the Note 4 for pre-sale.
The Galaxy Note 4 ships from both Virgin and Optus beginning November 5.
Optus

Until November 2, Optus is offering bonus data on three of its plans. The $60 option has an extra 500MB, taking it up to 2.5GB. The $80 option is offering a bonus 2GB, giving 5GB instead of the usual 3GB. And the big $100 plan will give you a whopping 8GB instead of the usual 5GB.
On top of that, there’s a great pre-order deal going specifically for the Note 4. If you order before the November 5 launch date, you can sign up to the $80 plan with no added handset repayment cost. Of course, if you want the bonus data you’ll need to get in before the Nov. 2 cut-off date for that deal. This is definitely your best option on Optus.
The $50 plan has no bonus data, but a hefty $20 handset repayment which will land you paying $70 per month for 1GB of data.
The $60 plan has that extra 500MB, but once you’ve paid the $17 repayment cost you’re paying $77 per month for 2.5GB.
The $80 plan, with the $0 phone repayment, is only $3 more per month than this for double the data.
Virgin Mobile

Virgin also has bonus data going on its plans at the moment. It’s a little more straight-forward: 2GB extra across all of its post-paid plans. This deal does not apply to customers switching from Optus, or from a provider that works over the Optus network.
That means the $30 plan that usually only has 300MB has a thoroughly respectable 2.3GB – more than enough for the average user. Of course, the handset repayment on such a low-cost plan is pretty massive at $27, but that’s still only $57 per month for a costly phone and 2.3GB of data.
If you need a little more data, or don’t think the $300 of credit for calls and texts on the small plan will cover you, there are plenty of other options.
You can go for the $50 plan + $18 for the handset, ending with $68 for 3GB per month with $500 credit.
Or, for big-data and to compare with the Optus offering, you can hit up the $80 plan with $5 per month handset repayment. This is $5 more per month than what Optus is offering, but you get 6GB instead of 5. That’s an extra 1GB for $5 per month.
The Virgin 2GB Bonus data deal ends on the 21st of December and there are no incentives specifically for Note 4 pre-orders, so you have plenty of time to make up your mind.
