OPPO's last foldable smartphone never made it to Australia, but its new one looks to be worth the wait. Revealed in full today following an initial tease last week, the Find N6 is confirmed for an Australian release in April at a recommended retail price of $3,299.
The device will be available to preorder from April 2 via OPPO's own Australian online store and JB Hi-Fi. Once it launches in Australia on April 16, the OPPO Find N6 will also be available on a mobile plan through Vodafone.
OPPO Australia Managing Director Michael Tran told WhistleOut that the success of its flagship Find X9 family last year is a key reason it is bringing the Find N6 down under.
”We launched the Find N3 a while back and we did really well with that product," said Tran. "Then we skipped on the Find N5. So I thought it’s time to bring the N series back. Looking at the features and everything on this device, why not? We’ve done really well with the Find X9 series, I believe, and I just felt like continuing the momentum.“
“We’ve still got the Find X9 in market, and it’s still going really well, so I thought, let’s bring in the Find N6 and see how it goes.”
If the previous OPPO Find N5 offered a slimmer take on the big-screen foldable form-factor popularised by Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold line, the new OPPO Find N6 pushes this formula further by incorporating the brand’s first zero-feel crease design.
We’re talking about more than a hinge redesign here. To create a flatter foldable display, OPPO used 3D printing to smooth out the variability in the surface that sits underneath the screen. Then, the manufacturer replaced the upper layer of the screen with a new auto-smoothing flex glass that offers greater shape recovery and deformation resistance. Thanks to this, the OPPO Find N6 boasts just 0.05mm of height variation versus the typical 0.2mm found on OPPO’s older foldables.
Beyond that breakthrough, the form factor of the OPPO Find N6 is a familiar one. The device weighs just 225g and features flat sides with contoured edges. Folded up, it’s got a profile of just 8.93mm — which is thicker than you’ll find on something like the iPhone Air, not that much more than what you’ll find on a phablet like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and more-or-less on par with the OPPO Find N5.
OPPO has also given the buttons a facelift, and added additional antennas that promise to provide more consistent connectivity between the two form factors. When unfolded, the OPPO Find N6 is IP58 rated against water and dust damage. When folded, that gets bumped up to IP59, and means the phone can withstand damage from high-pressure water jets.
The OPPO Find N6 also comes accompanied by the brand's latest stab at an Apple Pencil-like stylus. Similar to Samsung's S-Pen, the OPPO AI Pen offers the standard 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity and can be used as a remote control for the camera on the Find N6. When not in use, the Bluetooth accessory can be stored within the official case for the device and charged using reverse wireless charging.
On the inside, there’s an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED display with 441 ppi and 2,500 nits of peak brightness. Externally, there’s a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED cover display that’s only got 431 pixels per inch but has a higher peak brightness of 3,600 nits. Under the hood, the OPPO Find N6 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a 6,000mAh battery. As usual, the device features 80W fast charging via VOOC and 50W wireless charging via OPPO’s AirVOOC charging tech.

On the back, the device features a revised take on the Cosmos Ring design on other premium OPPO devices. In addition, the OPPO Find N6 brings to bear an upgraded version of the camera setup seen on the OPPO Find N5. The 8MP selfie and cover cameras on that device have been traded out for a pair of 20MP sensors. Meanwhile, the 8MP ultrawide lens on the back has been upgraded to match the 50MP telephoto lens. Last but far from least, the 50MP main sensor has been upgraded to a 200MP one.
The optics here are a new personal best for OPPO foldables. However, the manufacturer isn’t necessarily the only one looking to capitalise on the weaknesses of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. For example, the Motorola Razr Fold features an almost identical camera setup to the one found here, plus a selfie camera with more megapixels.
