Samsung and Huawei might be duking it out over foldable phones, but HMD is flipping it old school. The company is bringing its latest throwback feature phone - a spruced up version of the Nokia 2720 flip phone - to Australia from today.
If you're after the retrotacular handset, you'll find the Nokia 2720 Flip at Vodafone from today, and at Harvey Norman and other select retailers from tomorrow. It will set you back $149.
Much like the 3310 3G and 8810 4G, the 2720 Flip is a pretty basic device. It has a T9 keyboard, a 2.8-inch internal display, a 1.3-inch external display, and up to 27 days of standby time.

In terms of software, it runs KaiOS. KaiOS is a little smarter than what you'd expect from a feature phone, and even has apps like Google Maps, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and Google Assistant. If you're not a fan of texting on a T9 keyboard, you're actually able to use Google Assistant to dictate text messages.
One notable feature is an emergency button that, when pressed, calls up to five emergency contacts and sends them a text with your current location.
