Looking for a new SIM-only or prepaid phone plan but can't work out what to pick? Here's a look at the most popular plans on WhistleOut in the last week.
1. amaysim
First up again is amaysim, because a dollar per gig is clearly very hard to pass up. At $30 for 30GB on a 28-day recharge, amaysim is a solid choice if you're after a prepaid plan. In addition to heaps of data, you'll get unlimited standard international calls to 10 select countries, and unlimited international talk and text to 32 select countries.
2. Exetel
If you don't need much data, Exetel has you covered. $8.99 per month gets you 2GB, along with unlimited talk and text. Better yet, it's a contract-free plan so you can always move to a larger plan if your needs change. Exetel is powered by the Optus network.
3. Belong
Belong's $25 per month plan with 10GB is a pretty good deal, especially considering it's contract-free and and has data rollover. If you manage to bank up enough data, you can even step down to the $10 plan for a month or two while you work through your accumulated allowance.
4. Optus
Optus is also running a pretty solid prepaid deal. You'll get 35GB for $30 on your first three 28-day recharges. This drops back to 10GB after, but the plan does however also include 10GB of streaming data just for Netflix, Stan, and ABC iview.
5. Belong
Belong managed to rack up a second spot in this week's chart with its $10 plan. Belong's $10 per month plan is the cheapest SIM-only option around on the Telstra network. While it only gets you 1GB, it's contract-free and has perks like data rollover and gifting that you tend not find on other cheap plans.
How we measure plan popularity
The popularity of these plans is measured by the number of "product information" and "go to site" clicks they've had on WhistleOut across the past seven days.
