The Mate 30 might be right around the corner, but Huawei hasn't forgotten about the P30 Pro. The Chinese smartphone giant today announced that the P30 Pro is getting two new colour variants, a few new camera features, and upgraded to Android 10.
Firstly, the P30 Pro will shortly be available in two new colour schemes: Misty Blue and Misty Lavender.
These use a two-tone surface, similar to what we've seen on devices like the Pixel 3. The area surrounding the camera lens has a high gloss finish, while the rest of the device is a fingerprint-resistant matte surface.

At this stage, Australian availability of these new colours has yet to be confirmed.
Huawei is also upgrading the P30 Pro's already excellent camera with a few new features. These include a "Super Night Selfie" for improved lowlight shots from the front-facing camera, an upgraded colour system, improved portrait mode, and an AI powered video creation tool that will build a video set to music with one tap.
These features will come to all P30 Pro devices, but we're not quite sure when yet. These will be released as their own update, rather than part of the update to Android 10.
Lastly, all P30 Pro devices will be upgraded to Android 10, running Huawei's EMUI 10 skin. This is notable because of the dispute between the US government and Huawei, which cast some doubt as to whether the P30 Pro software would get further official updates.
Notable EMUI 10 features include a cleaner user interface, and a Dark Mode. You can read more about EMUI 10 here. Huawei has yet to set a release date for EMUI 10.
