Boost Mobile has expanded its range of refurbished smartphones with the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, last year's flagship Apple handsets. A 64GB iPhone XS will set you back $1,049 through Boost, while a 64GB iPhone XS Max is a bit pricier at $1,149.
For comparison, you'll currently pay $1,569 for a new 64GB iPhone XS and $1,749 for a new 64GB iPhone XS Max.
Boost started selling refurbished smartphones in July this year, partnering with device supplier Alegre. Alegre says it completes a 72-point check to ensure all refurbished phones perform at a high standard and have enough battery capacity left. In addition, it only sources Australian-compliant phones that have been wiped and cross-checked against a police database.
Refurbished smartphones may have minor cosmetic damage including scuffing or light scratches on the screen, but won't have any cracks. These refurbished devices are backed by a 12-month warranty.

All refurbished phones sold through Boost Mobile come with a $30 SIM. That gets you 20GB of data plus a bonus 15GB on your first three recharges. Here is Boost's range of 28-day prepaid plans:
