Aussie Broadband has revamped its mobile plans, removing excess charges.
Previously, customers would pay $10 for extra data if they ran over their included allowance, but now they'll be able to continue using their service with unlimited data at slower speeds of 1.5Mbps.
1.5Mbps is much slower than the speeds a mobile plan can normally operate at, but still fast enough for basic browsing and streaming. You certainly wouldn't want to download an app on those kinds of speeds, however.

Customers who bundle an Aussie Broadband mobile with one of its NBN plans get a $5 per month discount. Customers can save a maximum of $25 per month with five mobile plans on the one account.
Aussie Broadband mobile plans are powered by the Optus network.
This style of "unlimited data plan" was first introduced in 2018, but by and large, has been limited to Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone. Only a few smaller providers currently offer unlimited data. These include felix, Dodo, and Belong.
felix is unique because it sells a genuinely unlimited plan. The catch is that speeds are permanently limited to 20Mbps, which is just a little slower than an NBN 25 plan. felix also sells fixed data plans with faster speeds and slow unlimited data after you go over your monthly allowance.
Dodo is also worth calling out, because its unlimited data feature is quite slow: customers are capped to 256Kbps after they go over their primary allowance. That's only four times the speed of dial-up.
