When it comes to the launch of a big new phone, all eyes turn to Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, and Virgin Mobile to see who will have the best offer. But with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, you’ve be wise to look elsewhere.
Woolworths Mobile will, for the first time, be part of the mayhem of this major phone launch, and has a special promo price that is timed perfectly for the new Galaxy launch.
Currently, the Woolworths Medium phone plan is $15 off per month, and when you compare the cheapest plans from the telcos selling the S8 range, this makes Woolworths not only cheapest, but also best value in this price band.
The Medium plan includes unlimited calls and SMS, plus 4GB data and 150 minutes of international calls. With a Galaxy S8 the total monthly price is $65 per month. The next comparable plan is Virgin’s plan with 4GB for $77 per month, or an Optus plan with 3.5GB for $89 per month.
If you’re not that keen on the new Galaxy S8, the promo pricing on the Medium plan applies for all phones in the Woolworth’s range. This offer does end on April 4 though, so you'll need to in early for this one.
To be fair, the competitors do offer a features that aren’t available through Woolworths. Optus, Virgin and Telstra all include some form of data-free music streaming, and Optus and Telstra both have sports video streaming services bundled in as well.
But if all you’re looking for is the best data for dollar deal on the new S8, the Woolies Medium plan is hard to go past.
Woolworths Mobile is powered by the Telstra 4G network.
