There's more to the world of tablets than iPads, and Vodafone's expanding its range with two new devices: the Android-powered Huawei MediaPad T3, and the Windows-powered Alcatel Plus 12.

Huawei MediaPad T3
Huawei's MediaPad T3 is a fairly traditional Android powered tablet, but also touts the benefit of 4G connectivity. Key specifications include a HD 8-inch display, a quad-core MediaTek MSM8917 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a battery said to offer up to 11 hours of video playback. It runs Nougat.
Vodafone has yet to confirm how much the MediaPad T3 will set you back, but given the specifications, we're exepcting it to end up the cheaper side of the spectrum. You'll be able to get it from November 15.

Alcatel Plus 12
Alcatel's Plus 12 is a Windows 10 powered two-in-one that's bundled with a detachable "soft" keyboard. Key specifications include a 12-inch HD display, a Celeron N3350 processor, 32GB of expandable storage, 4GB of RAM, and a 6,900mAh battery.
The Plus 12 isn't actually a 4G tablet, but if you pick it up on a plan, Vodafone will throw in a bonus Pocket WiFi personal hotspot that you can tether to.
While Vodafone now offers a flexible approach to buying phones on a contract, this isn't the same when it comes to tablets. If you want the Plus 12 on a plan, you'll need to sign up for a full 24-months. $35 per month gets you 1.5GB of data, $39 gets you 3GB, $48 gets you 7GB, or $60 gets you 12GB. The Plus 12 is available now.
Vodafone's tablet plans are eligible for $5 per day roaming, which means you can keep using your Pocket WiFi when you travel.
Alternatively, the Plus 12 will set you back $598 outright.
