Vodafone's popular $5 per day global roaming is now available to subscribers visiting Canada, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands, bringing the list of eligible countries to 58.
"The expansion of $5 Roaming to Canada comes ahead of the busy ski and snowboard season, which is a clear favourite travel destination for Australians," said Vodafone's Chief Marketing Officer Loo Fun Chee.
"This will mean when people travel to Canada in the next few months they can use their phone to take snaps when they’re on the slopes and be able share those moments on social media as soon as they happen, without having to find hotspots or rely on expensive hotel Wi-Fi."
$5 per day roaming allows Vodafone post-paid subscribers to use their local inclusions - calls, text, and data - while travelling, as if they were still in Australia for an additional $5 per day. Customers are only billed for days where they use their plan inclusions.
Customers can use $5 roaming for as many as 90 days in a calendar year. Customers travelling to New Zealand will have the $5 per day charge waived.
