Break out the fairy bread and balloons: Virgin Mobile is celebrating its 17th birthday this month, and has unwrapped some limited-time offers for new and upgrading customers.
If you sign up to a Virgin Mobile plan between now and November 8, you can claim either a once-off bonus data gift, or up to 20% off your monthly service fees. Offers are available to customers new to Virgin, or existing users who decide to upgrade their service.
Phone plan data deals!
Coveting the latest iPhone or the Galaxy Note 8? Customers grabbing a new phone on Virgin Mobile's 24-month phone plans will receive a one-time data boost of up to 20GB in their first month. You'll get a Data Gift of 10GB on the $40, $45, and $55 plans; 15GB on $70 and $80 plans; and a huge 20GB on Virgin's premium $100 option.
Your Data Gift includes once-off bonus gigabytes which can be used in your first month of Virgin Mobile service. If you don't use it all, any remaining data will roll over to the following month thanks to Virgin Mobile's FairData policy (although it will expire after this billing cycle ends).
SIM-only savings!
If you've all set for a smartphone, but need a new SIM-only plan, you can save 20% off all 12-month SIM plans, and 15% off all month-to-month options. Discounted pricing is as follows:
12-month SIM only plans:
$30 Plan: now $24 per month
$35 Plan: now $28 per month
$40 Plan: now $32 per month
$50 Plan: now $40 per month
$60 Plan: now $48 per month
Month-to-month SIM only plans
$30 Plan: now $25.50 per month
$40 Plan: now $34 per month
$50 Plan: now $42.50 per month
$60 Plan: now $51 per month
$80 Plan: now $69 per month
Your 15% or 20% discount will be applied monthly via bill credit, but will expire if you decide to change plans. All of Virgin Mobile's postpaid plans include unlimited calls and texts, data-free music streaming, plus Data Rollover and Data Gifting.
Broadband bonuses!
Virgin Mobile is also adding value to its postpaid mobile broadband plans. All plans of $30 per month or more now include unlimited music streaming, plus monthly bonus data of up to 60GB.
If you're an existing postpaid mobile customer - or plan to bundle both your mobile broadband and mobile phone service - you can also save up to $10 per month on Virgin's 12-month mobile broadband plans. Customers on the $30 and $45 mobile broadband plans will receive a $5 monthly discount, while the $60 and $70 plans are cut by $10 per month.
