MVNO Vaya this week makes significant changes to its plan range, adding and removing several plans, and doubling the data on its highest value offer.
The Power Plan 44 (V4) now includes 6GB of data each month, up from 3GB previously. The plan still comes with unlimited calls and messages, and coverage on the Optus 4G network, giving Vaya a small price lead over competitor Amaysim.
As part of this plan reshuffle, the older Power Plan 16 has been removed and new $28 and $35 options have been added. This leaves the popular Power Plan 18 as the cheapest plan in the Vaya range.
The new Power Plan 28 comes with unlimited calls and messages plus 1.5GB per month. It complements the existing $27 plan which offers 2.5GB data per month but with a $650 call limit.
If you want the best of both these plans, the new $35 option has both unlimited calls and 2.5GB data.
Very has introduced a number of small changes to the fine print. Per minute call charges have increased from 90c per min to 99c. Data on all plans is now counted in kilobytes rather than megabytes, and customers than exceed their data limits are charged $10 and credited with an extra 1GB to use within the billing cycle.
