We're still more than two months away from Christmas, but Optus is getting into the spirit early: welcoming new prepaid customers with a $50 gift card.
From now through to February 4, 2018, you can claim a free $50 EFTPOS Gift Card when you pick up a selected prepaid phone and SIM. To qualify, you'll need to activate your prepaid SIM, then add $30 or more to your account on your first recharge.
Eligible prepaid smartphones include:
- Alcatel A3 (priced at $149)
- Optus X Smart (priced at $129)
- Optus X Spirit (priced at $99)
- Optus X Sleek
Once you've activated your SIM and recharged with a minimum of $30, you'll need to visit Optus' gift card redemption page and enter both your mobile number, and the 8-digit security code printed on your EFTPOS card.
You'll find your EFTPOS card bundled in with your new prepaid SIM, so there's no need to wait for your gift to arrive in the mail (and your card should be ready to use within 24 hours of online activation).
Provided you activate online before March 31, 2018, you'll be able to use your $50 card at any in-store EFTPOS terminal. Customers can check the status and balance of their gift card online, and each card comes with a 12-month expiry.
