Optus has already cut up to $800 from Pixel 9 prices

A new flagship phone launch is always an exciting time, but it's also one of the best opportunities to snag big savings on a new device.

For example, during the pre-order period, Optus and Telstra are offering up to $800 off Pixel 9 devices when you pair them with an eligible phone plan.

Pre-orders are available until August 21 but some deals extend past that.

Note: Telstra's mobile plans will increase by $3 and $4 per month from August 27.

Up to $600 off Pixel 9

Get $600 off the Pixel 9 when you sign up for a 24 or 36-month repayment plan with Optus. On a 36-month repayment term, you'll save $16 per month. Vodafone is offering $200 off the Pixel 9 when you sign up for a 24 or 36-month repayment plan. On the 36-month repayment term, you'll save around $8 per month.

Optus has the cheapest Pixel 9 plan by around $8 per month. The 128GB Pixel 9 paired with its cheapest plan starts at $72.78 per month.

In addition to the savings on offer, Vodafone is offering $500 bonus trade-in credit when you trade in an eligible device. Telstra is throwing in a free Pixel Tablet with Charging Speaker Dock valued at $899.
