Samsung's latest fitness wearables - the swim-ready Gear Sport smartwatch and runner-focused IconX wire-free headphones - are now on sale locally, retailing for $499 and $299 respectively. Both are available through Samsung's retail stores, and Samsung's online store.
JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman are both ranging the Gear Sport, but it appears that the IconX is currently only available at the latter retailer.

Gear Sport
The Gear Sport smartwatch is almost a hybrid between Samsung's Gear S2 and Gear S3. The fitness focused smartwatch uses the Gear S2 sized 1.2-inch display in a sportier take on the Gear S3's body. We found the Gear S3 to be a little too big, so the smaller size looks to be a nice change.
As with Samsung's other recent smartwatches, a rotating bezel is the primary method of navigating through the Gear Sport. In addition to your standard fitness tracking features (including GPS), the Gear Spot is now water-resistant up to 5 ATM (much like the Apple Watch Series 2 and up and Fitbit Ionic), which means you can use it to log your swims.
Other key specifications for the Gear Sport include 4GB of internal storage, 768MB of RAM, NFC for Samsung Pay, and a 300mAh battery said to last up to four days.
In addition to the obvious compatibility with Samsung smartphones, the Gear Sport is compatible with iPhones and other Android device.

Gear IconX
The Gear IconX is a new pair of wire-free earbuds with internal storage. The 4GB of memory lets you load music directly onto the headphones and listen to tunes without your phone, but they'll also work over Bluetooth.
Battery life is the biggest improvement in the new IconX: Samsung says you'll get up to five hours of music over Bluetooth, or seven when you're playing back from internal storage. The included carry case should give you an extra two charges, and a ten minute top up is said to give you another hour of playback.
In addition to delivering tunes to your eardrums, the IconX also doubles as a running coach. The earbuds will automatically track your running routines and can also provide exercise status updates during your run.
Other new functionality includes support for Samsung's Bixby smart assistant.
The IconX is only compatible with Android devices.
